In OSX Maverick, Mail will not remember my mac.com email password? Anyone else experiencing this?

You can also try going to System Preferences/Internet Accounts/iCloud and un-check the Mail sync function.

Quit Mail and then go back to System Preferences and re-check Mail. Open Mail and if necessary enter your password.

Is it something I did, or didn't do, that's causing this? Or is it a flaw in the update?

Sometimes it is simply a matter of going into your Mail Account settings and deleting then re-entering your password. Sometimes the entire account needs to be deleted and set up fresh. Don't ask me why, but it seems to have helped many in the past.

Only ... if you delete an account, don't you lose all the e-mails in that account? Not an option for most, I would think.

They normally recover, but just to be safe, go Mail/Mailbox/Export Mailbox. You can later import them if required.
